When you have completed a set of World Quests for The Nightfallen (The Nightfallen), you need to turn it in to First Arcanist Thalyssra (inside your Suramar base) to get your Nightfallen HoardComment by Steiner14512
This is one of the 7 possible Emissary Quests, one of which becomes available once per day. They require you to complete 4 World Quests in a certain zone or for a certain faction.You don't have to accept these, you can simply see which ones are active by looking at the world map on any Broken Isles zone. A new one becomes available every day at 8 a.m. server time (for EU servers, 9 a.m. during summer time) and it stays active for 3 days, so you can do one a day or save them and do all 3 in one swoop.
This one requires you to complete 4 World Quests in Suramar, the faction associated with the WQ doesn't matter. Check marks on the world map will indicate your progress.
Once finished, a question mark on the world map indicates where to turn it in. For this one, it's First Arcanist Thalyssra inside Shal'Aran (the cave next to Meredil) in Suramar (36,6 46,9).
The rewards are:
- 1500 reputation with The Nightfallen. Tip: If darkmoon faire is active, ride the carousel or use Darkmoon Top Hat before completing the quest.
- Vial of Diluted Nightwell Liquid: Grants 400 AP base, increased by Artifact Knowledge (up to 100k with Knowledge Level 25).
- Nightfallen Hoard which contains:
Either 700-1200 Order Resources (50% chance, ~400 on average) or 600-900 gold (50% chance, ~350 on average). - Additionally 1 Blood of Sargeras with a chance of 25%.
- 1 Curious Coin with a chance of 20%
- A piece of gear for your class (not your spec, possible to get e.g. agi trinkets as a resto shaman). Base ilvl is 835 (might be less depending on your character's ilvl), can get upgraded randomly with sockets/war-/titanforged/tertiary stats.
- 2-4 (avg 3.1) Essence of Aman'Thul if you're on the quest to upgrade a Legendary from 910 to 940
- Additional items, with a much smaller chance. From doing 314 Emissary Quests:
Torn Invitation if you haven't completed the quest to obtain Reins of the Llothien Prowler on that character, chance unknown. - Heavy Armor Set x24 (7.6%)
- Fortified Armor Set x10 (3.2%)
- Indestructible Armor Set x1 (0.3%)
- Technique: Codex of the Tranquil Mind x2 (0.6%)
A relatively high chance (compared to other sources) to get a Legendary.

You can't turn in this quest until you explored Shal'Aran.Quest chain to Shal'Aran starts at Archmage Khadgar in Dalaran:
- Magic Message - click Arcane Anomaly and watch the dialogue
- Trail of Echoes - click the portal to Suramar. Follow the way, use your quest item Trail of Echoes at the marked areas and click Faint Arcane Echos. Kill Erasmus Moonblade and meet Thalyssra
- The Only Way Out is Through - follow her and kill/interrupt the attacking Withered Thirster on the way (you can ignore the other types of withereds)
- The Nightborne Pact - click Thalyssra (Video)
- Arcane Thirst - go to the middle of Shal'Aran, kill the Eternal Tether and Keeper Selentia after that. Collect 6 Crystallized Ancient Mana
- Shal'Aran - follow First Arcanist Thalyssra to the bridge. You can wait for her upstairs, she doesn't need you on her side while she is exploring the area

- Sympathizers Among the Shal'dorei - meet Silgryn near 39.2 71.3 (patrols)
- The Masks We Wear - follow him to 40.3 71.3 and pick up the Enchanted Party Mask from the table. Use it to get the costume (Enchanted Party Mask) and talk to the Masqued Revelers. Take care of High Mage of the Duskwatch. Meet Ly'leth Lunastre and click the dialogue
- Blood of My Blood - inspect the Memorial, summon and defeat Anarys. Click his dialoge option and return to Ly'leth Lunastre
- Masquerade - use your quest item Mask of Mirror Image, turn in and get your Masquerade button

This guy seems like he might be a nod to Xûr, Agent of the Nine from Destiny. In Destiny, Xur is a hooded, faceless figure who sells exotic weapons and armor for Strange Coins. He can also be found in a different location every week,Well this Xur doesn't change locations, but he does follow his inspiration's habit of rotating his stock, encouraging players to check back to see what rare item he might be selling today.

***UPDATE - After much trial and error, it appears this vendor has two types of items available! See below for details***Xur'ios is located in Dalaran at . He can be found tucked away outside and on the left side of the Bank of Dalaran towards the back of the building (between the bank and the Antonidas Memorial).
This vendor is a reference to the online FPS game Destiny, as are many of his items (Ingram's Puzzle, Gjallar's 'Horn', Mote of Light).
Xur'ios has two types of inventory items; some items are fixed, and are always available, but

Xurios is a clear reference to the character 'Xûr, Agent of the Nine' from the console game Destiny. He shows up at different locations within the 2 city hubs every friday and stays until sunday, bringing with him exotic items (legendaries would be the wow equivelent.)The items he sells are minor reference to characters and items from Destiny as well as the currency it self. Destiny's version being Strange Coins.
Such items as:
Krota's Shield Krota being the end boss of the first expansion 'The Dark Below'. Although spelled with a 'C' instead of a 'K'. His full name is 'Crota, Son of Oryx'. He also did have a shield that you had to remove using a sword from an NPC that spawned in, after that you could deal damage to him.
Gjallar's 'Horn' Well known end-game top tier Rocket Launcher. (Think Gearscore back in Wotlk, couldn't join a raid without it.)
Ingram's Puzzle Ingram, or 'Engrams' as they are called in the world of Destiny is how you get your loot. The loot being encrypted you had to take it to a NPC named 'Master Rahool' to decrypt it so you could find out which item it was. Hence why this is a puzzle or 'encrypted'.
Off-topic:
Master Rahool has gotten an easter egg in Destiny it self after bungie found out about 'loot caves'. Basically people would just camp outside of a cave where enemies would spawn in and run out then getting killed by players. This was primarily a gear farming option, although it was one of the worst ways to get gear.
The easter egg is in one of these caves where you can click on a pile of dead bodies and Master Rahool will say 'A million deaths, is not enough for Master Rahool'.

Supposedly the drop rate of the coins was upped with the patch, the least I can say I got 2 coins yesterday while I only had gotten 3 coins in total over several toons over several months. Good luck all. Maybe now the things that guy sells are a bit more achievable.... one can only hope....time will tell...

I came here to see what it is I can buy with these coins. I am very disappointed that they don't have something for everyone, bit discriminating. Would have been nice to have a recipe for all the production profs. I can only hope they add some more items to this person as there is really nothing here I can use or want. UPDATE: For those who are wondering when the items rotate. They rotate when the dailies reset for your server. In addition, items like Boon of the Nether, Igram's Puzzle can be purchased - used once then you can turn around and refund them.With heirlooms up-gradable to 110, you can also enchant as many shoulder looms with the boon of the nether for your 101-109 alts and then refund the item for your 50 coins back.
I hope this helps anyone - get it done before the nerf!

If you have lots of alts from legion, you can hard farm the rep tokens thru mission table and send all BoA ones to one character. I just farmed 46 with tons of those tokens I had sent all to a bank alt long ago. During Legion, I made sure to farm exalted on all leveled classes, first so I could farm the paragon mounts, now that I still have lots of them, I just send them to one of the alts that has more coins, and proceed the farm, spamming rep tokens near the emissaries.Comment by Wolf699
Xur'ios is an ethereal vendor that can be found at the Antonidas Memorial in the Broken Isles version of Dalaran. He won't appear in other versions of Dalaran.To get to the correct version of Dalaran, use the mage portal 'Portal to Azsuna', not the 'portal to Dalaran, Crystalsong Forest' one.
